📱 This Week's Mobile Game Pickups & Hot Issues! - 2026.04.11 | Mobile Games

Hello, fans! It's your Wallet Warrior 💸 This week, I've brought a ton of mobile game news that will empty our wallets (but fill our hearts)! Is everyone ready for the new pickups? Let's dive right in! 🚀

🌟 New Releases & Updates

It's finally here! Netmarble's new game 'Monster Taming: Star Dive' is officially launching on April 15 ^[1]. It's the sequel to the legendary mobile RPG 'Monster Taming' from 13 years ago. The tag-team combat and action shown at G-Star were incredible, right? They're also holding an online showcase, hyping up the players ^[1]. I'm definitely pulling for this pickup!

And a massive surprise! 'Borderlands Mobile' shadow-dropped on iOS ^[8]. You can now become a Vault Hunter on Pandora and enjoy explosive action right on your mobile device. You better go download it now! The Android version is scheduled to open soon as well ^[9].

A new idle game has also arrived! LINE Games officially launched the idle RPG 'Animal Busters', created with the team behind the webtoon 'Sindorim', on the 8th ^[2]. It's super fun to collect and raise over 60 cute animal characters. They grow automatically even when offline, making it the perfect side game ^[2].

Devsisters' 'CookieRun: OvenSmash' had its first update since launch. They significantly reduced matchmaking wait times for a smoother experience, and added 2 new Epic Cookies along with a 'Coin Rush' mode ^[3]. There were some early optimization issues, but the devs are quickly reflecting feedback through live broadcasts, so I'm looking forward to its future ^[4].

🤝 Collaborations & Events

A super cute guest has arrived in Nexon's 'KartRider Rush+'. It's the 'Tayo the Little Bus' collaboration! ^[5]. The speed kart 'Tayo' and item kart 'Alice' have been added. You can collect pieces by simply clearing missions and exchange them for karts and various items, so this is a must-participate event even for free-to-play users ^[5].

Netmarble's new game 'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad' is holding an online showcase on the 17th at 8 PM ^[6]. The official launch schedule and core contents will be revealed. If you pre-register now on PC and both mobile markets, you'll get a special costume and supply boxes, so don't forget to grab them ^[6].

📈 Industry Trends & Sad News

It seems 'idle' games are the biggest trend in mobile gaming these days. Nexon's 'MapleStory Idle' hit 45.2 billion won in revenue in March, taking the #1 spot in both markets for 3 consecutive months ^[7]. The power of major IPs is truly massive!

Lastly, some slightly sad news. Clover Games, the developer of 'Lord of Heroes', has filed for bankruptcy, meaning LoH will end its service on May 9 . Direct refunds from the developer are difficult, so you'll have to get refunds through the customer centers of Google Play, App Store, etc. . It's going to be a very sad farewell for users who have enjoyed the game for a long time.

That's all for today! I hope everyone enjoys gaming this weekend and gets incredibly lucky with their gacha pulls! I'll be back next week with more fun news~ Bye! 👋
