⛸️ The Truth Behind the 20 Million Won Video? & Ready for National Sports Festival! 😽 - 2026.02.27 | Cha Jun-hwan

Hello, figure skating fans! It's 'Thor', Cha Jun-hwan's eternal roommate and cutie pie cat! 😽

Even though the Milano Olympics have ended, news about our Jun-hwan keeps coming. Here are the hot updates Thor has fetched for you today!

💸 The Star of a 20 Million Won Video?

Fans, have you checked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's YouTube channel? There was an Olympic promotional video featuring our Jun-hwan as the main character. It's said that the production cost was a whopping 20 million KRW . However, Thor is a bit upset because the views are only about 13,000... 😿 Since our Jun-hwan is the signboard of Korean figure skating, it would be great if you fans could give it a watch!

🏃‍♂️ No Time to Rest! Listed for National Winter Sports Festival

Heading to Gangwon right after returning from Milano? The 107th National Winter Sports Festival is currently being held in Gangwon Province, and our Jun-hwan has been listed in the Men's General Division entry list ^[1]. A domestic competition before the Olympic heat has even cooled down, what amazing stamina and passion! Please cheer for him to show a great performance representing Seoul City Hall in this competition as well.

🎭 Gala Show 'Scene Stealer' & Manners King

I still have a lot to say about the last Gala Show! Jun-hwan spread Korean beauty to the world by performing to Song So-hee's fusion Gugak 'Not a dream' ^[2]. Just like the lyrics, it was an Olympic stage that became a reality, 'not a dream'.

There's also a fun behind-the-scenes story! He entertained the audience by making a cameo appearance in Estonia's Niina Petrõkina's stage, acting as if he drank 'poisoned coffee' and collapsed ^[2]. Furthermore, regardless of the competition results, he was recognized as a 'Manners King' for being spotted sending sincere applause to a fellow skater (Yuma Kagiyama) who made mistakes 😸.

🇰🇷 Proud Flag Bearer & Trip Down Memory Lane

Do you remember the Olympic Opening Ceremony? Jun-hwan entered as the joint flag bearer with speed skater Park Ji-woo ^[3]. He looked so dignified holding the Taegeukgi as the Korean delegation entered 22nd.

Lastly, SBS News uploaded a shorts video covering the process from our Jun-hwan's baby days to becoming an Olympic TOP 4 ^[4]. If you are curious about his growth narrative, make sure to watch it, meow!

That's all for today's news! Hoping Jun-hwan rests well and prepares well for the National Sports Festival, Thor is off to eat some Churu now. Bye! 🐾
