📱 Wallet Warrior's Mobile Game Picks! From B&S Revolution's Engine Swap to H2 New Releases🔥 - 2026.05.16 | Mobile Games

Hello, gamers! It's your Wallet Warrior, bringing you news of new pickups and epic events today! 💸 We've got a ton of mobile game news this week that'll make our wallets tremble. Let's log in and check it out! 🚀

1. B&S Revolution Transformed with Unreal Engine 5! ✨

Netmarble's long-running mobile MMORPG 'Blade & Soul Revolution' is preparing a massive update. They are actually swapping the game engine from Unreal Engine 4 to 5! ^[1] An engine swap in a mobile game is a truly rare and epic scale, right? The 'NEXT' update will be applied on May 26, bringing three-dimensional light and shadow expressions and incredibly vivid environmental details ^[1].

Plus, a new class 'Illusionist' will bring a new combat meta, and the highly requested 'Long-Lin body type' will be added, so I expect many players to return ^[2]. The new server 'Yuilmui' will generously support new and returning users with full equipment sets and chances to acquire Mythic gear, so don't miss this opportunity and log in! ^[1]

2. Goodbye Spicy Lineage-style! Return of F2P-Friendly MMORPGs 🛡️

Great news for gamers who left MMORPGs due to exhausting heavy P2W (Pay-to-Win) models! Starting this second half of the year, major domestic game companies will release new titles featuring unique worlds and 'fair monetization' ^[3].

Highly anticipated games with massive quality like Netmarble's 'SOL: Enchant', Kakao Games' 'Odin Q', and Com2uS' 'Zeus: God of Pride' are waiting to launch ^[3]. Moving away from the past 'pay to win' competitive structures, they are evolving their revenue models to embrace a wider player base without alienating anyone, so even F2P players can casually give them a try without pressure ^[3].

3. Rush of New Launches & Pre-registrations! 🎁

Mobile gamers know you have to secure your nickname on launch day, right?

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad: Netmarble's highly anticipated global title! Following its positive reception on Steam, it will finally be officially released on mobile platforms on May 21 ^[5]. With thorough historical research bringing the original world to life, the immersion is said to be insane, so let's look forward to it!
Overgeared Hero: A new mobile RPG from Krafton's 5minlab, it has already surpassed 500,000 global pre-registrations! ^[4] It's a roguelike game where combat results change drastically based on your item placement and combination strategy. At about 5 minutes per match, it's perfect for a quick play during your commute. It officially launches globally in Korea, Taiwan, the US, etc., on May 26! ^[4]
Subculture New Release Rush: Blockbusters targeting the subculture market like Nexon's 'Azure Promilia' and 'Project RX', NC's 'Limit Zero Breakers', and Netmarble's 'Monster Taming: Star Dive' are lining up for release ^[6]. Will my wallet... survive this? 💸

4. Faker Meets Karina?! Google Play Campaign 🎮

Google Play has dropped the 'PLAY ON PLAY' campaign video featuring pro gamer 'Faker' and aespa's 'Karina'! ^[7] It's a romantic comedy concept where they accidentally meet in everyday spaces like a library, subway, and PC cafe through mobile games. Faker's signature 'shush' pose and forward roll performance are absolute highlights ^[7].

This campaign was designed to promote the cross-play feature of continuing mobile games on a large PC screen via Google Play Games, along with point benefits. A giveaway event offering autographed merch and Google Play points is running until June 11, so don't forget to participate! ^[9]

5. Gather at KINTEX! 2026 PlayX4 🕹️

This week, from May 21 to 24, the largest domestic game exhibition of the first half, '2026 PlayX4', will be held at Ilsan KINTEX! ^[8] Major game companies like Nexon, Gravity, and Line Games will be there in full force operating various new game demo booths. How about making some time this weekend to enjoy offline events with friends and grab some limited-edition merch? ^[8]

6. PUBG Mobile Season 30 Kicks Off! 🍗

PUBG Mobile players, attention! Season 30 has finally begun alongside the massive V4.4 update ^[10]. The new firearm 'Panzerfaust' boasting immense destructive power and the new vehicle 'Roadster' with incredible acceleration have been added, making Classic mode combat much more dynamic and thrilling ^[11]. Plus, with tons of new content like the 'Hero's Crown' mode and 'Centaur AI', we definitely need to go get that chicken dinner tonight, right? ((ref:107), ^[13]
