Hello, speed skating fans! Speed Skating Maniac here! 😆 Did you all forget the heat of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics last February? I came running fast because there is huge news where we can feel that emotion once again! 🏃‍♂️💨

🌟 All K-Ice Stars Gathering! 'K-Skating Day' Hosted

Fans' love for our national ice skating team athletes has been truly passionate since the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, right? To repay that support, the Korea Skating Union has prepared a very special event ^[1]. The news is that 'K-Skating Day' will be held at the Mokdong Indoor Ice Rink in Seoul at 2:30 PM on the coming 26th ^[1]!

Originally, 'Korea Skating Day' is the last Saturday of April, but this year they decided to hold this event specifically on the 26th ^[2]. It's said to be a massive integrated festival where Olympic stars from all disciplines including speed skating, short track, and figure skating gather in one place ^[1].

🎭 An Unprecedented Ice Festa, Full of Expectations!

This event is largely divided into Part 1 and Part 2. In Part 1, a reward ceremony will be held for the outstanding athletes and coaches who brightened our ice sports during the 2025-2026 season ^[3]. It will be a meaningful time to personally congratulate our athletes who sweated hard for a whole season, right? 👏

And the highly anticipated Part 2! An ice show-style performance will unfold under the name 'An Unprecedented Ice Festa' ^[1]. The point to note here! It is said that a 'Mystery Masked Racer' stage prepared by speed skating athletes is ready ^[1]. Aren't you already so excited to see what kind of unique side our speed skating athletes will show? 🤩 (They say there will also be a figure skating gala show and a short track pair stage, so your eyes will be truly delighted!)

Before the event, a photo time with athletes from each discipline and fans will be held on a first-come, first-served basis, so fans who want to leave unforgettable memories with the athletes should hurry ^[4]. Tickets can be reserved on the NOL ticket site, and it is 33,000 won for general seats, 55,000 won for premium seats, and 18,000 won for wheelchair seats ^[1].

🇮🇹 Francesca Lollobrigida's Touching Moment

And I also brought one piece of international speed skating news! A highlight video of Italy's Francesca Lollobrigida at the Milano-Cortina Olympics was uploaded on the official Olympics channel ^[5]. It contains the emotional celebration moment shown after achieving an iconic victory, and I highly recommend checking it out if you are a speed skating fan ^[5].

This weekend, let's check out the different charms of our national speed skating athletes at the Mokdong Ice Rink, and feel the lingering emotions of the Olympics once again with Lollobrigida's video! See you in the next newsletter! ⛸️💙
