Hello, fans who love Milano! It's your Milano explorer! 🇮🇹 I'm back with a bunch of great figure skating news that came right after the Olympic fever.

Shin Ji-a Perfectly Adapts to Her Senior Debut Stage! 🌟

At the World Championships held in Prague, Czech Republic, our Shin Ji-a finished 8th with a total score of 201.89 ^[1]. She placed 11th in the individual event at the Milano Olympics last month, but she jumped up 3 spots in this competition ^[1].

Although she was 13th in the short program, she put on a great performance in the free skating to place 4th, successfully entering the top 10 with a final 8th place ^[1]. There was a slight regret in the jumps in the second half of the free skating, but it was really cool to see her immediately use her quick wits to make up for the mistake ^[1]. Shin Ji-a said she had a great experience learning mind control from world-class skaters through this competition, so aren't you looking forward to her future even more? ^[1]

Lee Hae-in, who competed together, unfortunately finished the competition in 13th place (total 185.18 points), but thanks to the performance of both skaters, Korean women's figure skating securely kept 2 tickets for next year's World Championships ^[2].

Lim Hannah & Ye Quan Blow Away Olympic Regrets! 💃🕺

There is also good news from the Lim Hannah and Ye Quan duo who competed in the ice dance rhythm dance! It was really sad that they had to finish the competition early due to a mistake in the rhythm dance at the Milano Olympics, right? 😢

However, at this World Championships, they placed 19th (total 69.83 points) out of 31 teams, proudly grabbing the ticket to the free dance given to the top 20 teams ^[3]. I want to give a big round of applause to the two skaters who overcame the pain of the Olympics!

World Championships Trivia 🌐

The winner of the women's singles in this competition was Japan's Sakamoto Kaori. She recorded her personal best (238.28 points) and announced her retirement with tears along with the victory ^[2]. 2nd place went to Japan's Chiba Mone, and 3rd place went to Belgium's Nina Pinzarrone ^[2]. For reference, USA's Alysa Liu, the gold medalist of the Milano Olympics, did not participate in this competition ^[4].

It must have been physically tough for all the skaters as the competition was held right after the Olympics, but let's leave a lot of complimentary comments for our skaters who showed great performances until the end! 👏 Your Milano explorer will be back next week with more fruitful news! Bye! 💖
