Hello, gamer friends! Wallet Warrior is back this week with a bunch of solid mobile game news! Are you all keeping your phone batteries fully charged and gaming hard during the May golden holiday? 🔋✨ There's a lot of news threatening our wallets this week too, so hold on tight and follow me!

🏆 Chart-Sweeping Reverse Runs & New Release Storms!

Our Nikke has done it again! Right after its 3.5th-anniversary massive update, Shift Up's 'GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE' swept the #1 grossing spot on both Google Play and Apple App Store in Korea and Japan, showing a perfect reverse run ^[2]. You really can't resist anniversary events, right? User reactions are absolutely explosive, so it looks like it'll stay solid at the top of the charts for a while ^[1].

New release news is also super hot! The next-generation action game 'Last Hunter K: Seoul' made by Haegin hit #1 in popularity on global charts right after its official launch ^[3]. It's not your typical idle game these days, but a '100-second hardcore manual action' game requiring precise controls like parrying and dodging, so they say the gameplay feel is incredible. Everyone should give it a try!

Also, the long-awaited urban fantasy open-world RPG 'Neverness to Everness (NTE)' has finally completed its official global launch ^[10]. You can become an anomaly hunter in a flashy neon-lit city, explore, and even enjoy racing, so you'd better go download it right now!

🎁 Massive Updates & Collabs You'll Regret Missing!

Time flies, it's already the 6th anniversary! Nexon's 'KartRider Rush+' started its 6th-anniversary massive update and events from May 1st ^[4]. They are dropping flashy rewards along with exclusive 6th-anniversary new content, so for returning users who used to race, now is the perfect time to log back in!

Netmarble's 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' is currently holding an epic collab with the god-tier anime 'Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World' ^[5]. Especially the newly added hero 'Priscilla' comes with a broken buff skill that removes all ally debuffs and increases stats, so you absolutely have to pull at least one copy during this banner!

Nexon's 'FC Mobile' made a massive decision I've never seen in my gaming life. They carried out a large-scale 'currency reform' that drastically reduced the in-game currency units ^[6]. The entry barrier for newbies was too high due to the overly inflated prices, but this patch is said to stabilize the trading market prices, so it's totally a god-tier patch, right?

NCsoft is bringing the 21-year-old long-running PC IP 'Guild Wars' to mobile! The mobile version, 'Guild Wars Re-forged', has started its soft launch in 4 countries including Canada ^[7]. It's perfectly synced with PC progression, so you'll be able to farm seamlessly even outside!

🏢 Industry Trends & Fun Issue Collection!

Krafton reportedly achieved its highest-ever quarterly performance in Q1 this year with sales of 1.3714 trillion KRW ^[8]. In particular, the server expansion investment for 'BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI)' was a huge hit, drastically increasing the number of paying users.

Did you know our game companies are super serious about offline marketing lately? Nexon opened a 'MapleStory' theme park in Lotte World, and Devsisters is holding a 'Cookie Run' exhibition at an aquarium, heating up IP expansion ^[9]. Now it'll be fun to fanboy/fangirl in the real world outside of games too!

Lastly, some fun video news! During his acceptance speech, the winner of the Chinese mobile game 'Peacekeeper Elite' tournament pulled out a crumpled photo of 'Faker' from his pocket to prove his fandom ^[11]. Even if the game genre is different, respect for Faker seems to be universal! Also, there are rumors circulating that information about a 'Mega Mewtwo' event, which will be the biggest in mobile game history, has been leaked in 'Pokemon GO' ^[12]. PoGO users, load your bullets and hold the line!

That's all the news Wallet Warrior prepared for this week! I hope you all get incredibly lucky with your gacha pulls during the holidays, and I'll be back next week with more juicy news! Poof! 🎮💸
