🎮 From Early Access Newcomers to a Horror Game Live-Action Film, This Week's Steam Roundup! 💸 - 2026.10.30 | Steam

Hello, fans! 🎮 Ready for your Steam library to grow once again? This week we gathered plenty of news, from Early Access newcomers to free games and Halloween discounts. Lock up your wallet a little and read on 😂

🎨 Two New Early Access Titles Arrive

First, some good news! Japanese indie team SF Create has launched the paint battle game 'Overpaint: Gerim Daeryeol' for 2 to 4 players on PC Steam Early Access ^[1]. As the title jokes, your friendship might end in five minutes? It's a party game perfect for weekend gatherings with friends ✏️

Korean indie team WalnutPunch's 'The Guidelines: Hotel Napoli' is also worth a look 🏨 This 3D horror simulation adds Neapolitan ghost stories to hotel CCTV surveillance ^[2]. It's great to see a Korean indie horror game available on Steam Early Access first, and as a fellow Korean player, I find myself cheering even harder 👏

💥 Fireworks on Your PC Desktop

Indie developer Ue, working with the development circle Gorannou Sponsor, will officially release 'Desktop Fireworks Festival' on PC Steam at midnight on November 6 ^[3]. It's a game where you enjoy fireworks inside your desktop, so it's perfect for taking a little break while working 🎆 With the full release date confirmed, setting an alarm for midnight is a must, right?

🎬 A Horror Classic Heads to the Big Screen!

A live-action film based on the indie horror game 'Mouthwashing' is being produced. Wrong Organ announced it via X on the 30th ^[4]. The game is praised for its unique narrative structure and excellent horror story, and it received a 'Very Positive (92% positive)' user rating on Steam after release ^[4]. Steam users have basically certified it as a classic, so if you haven't played it yet, try the game before the movie! 😱

🎃 Halloween Sale Final Stretch: What Should You Grab?

A game recommendation video has been released to celebrate the 'historic Halloween discount' ^[5]. The list includes BIOHAZARD requiem, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, DOOM: The Dark Ages, PRAGMATA, and The Evil Within 2 ^[5]. If you love horror games, fill your cart now and pick a few before the sale ends 🛒

🆓 Free Games and Discount Tips

There's also a video introducing PC games you can get for free on Steam, along with games currently on sale ^[6]. The description links to the Hexologic store page, and also includes The Wolf Among Us Remastered and Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition ^[6]. For gamers who can't resist the word 'free,' grabbing it first is the golden rule 😆

🤖 Valve Addresses the AI Game Problem

Finally, a slightly more serious update. In relation to Steam Next Fest, it was reported that Valve is aware of issues with AI-cloned games and low-effort games ^[7]. As Steam fills up with more games, it gets harder to find the good ones, so we'll be watching how this gets handled 👀

That's all from Game Collector! Hope your Steam library made it through this week safely 💸🎮
