Meow! Hello, fans! It's Thor, Jun-hwan's clingy number one fan and the cutest cat in the universe! 🐾

May is already here meow! In last week's newsletter, I briefly mentioned that our Jun-hwan received an award, but today Thor has rushed over to bring you a more vivid, behind-the-scenes look at the heated ceremony meow! 🐟 I heard it was a massive party hosted by the Skating Union, so perk up your ears and listen closely meow!

🏆 The Brilliant Excellence Award Ceremony!

On April 26th, a very special event took place at the Seoul Mokdong Indoor Ice Rink. It was the 'K-Skating Day' hosted by the Korea Skating Union meow! ^[2]. At this shining event, our Jun-hwan proudly stepped onto the stage as the winner of the 'Excellence Award' in the men's singles figure skating category for the 2025-2026 season meow! 🥇 ^[3].

As all our fans know, Jun-hwan's performance this season was truly amazing, wasn't it meow? At the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics held last February, he achieved 4th place overall, marking the best performance in the history of Korean men's figure skating meow! ^[1]. On top of that, he set a new milestone in figure skating history by winning a silver medal and placing 2nd overall at the 2026 Four Continents Championships meow ^[4]. With such dazzling achievements, the Excellence Award is a natural result, isn't it meow? Thor was so happy, thumping his tail on the cat tower meow! 🐈

⛸️ An Ice Festival with the Fans

But there's a reason this event was even more special meow. It wasn't just a quiet gathering to hand out certificates; a whopping 2,000 fans attended and enjoyed the festival together meow! ^[2]. Were any of our fans there?! Thor wanted to pack a bag of Churu and secretly tag along, but I held it in meow 😿.

In particular, there was a surprise gift prepared for the fans during the second part of the event. Speed skating, short track, and figure skating featuring our Jun-hwan! A diverse ice show performance unfolded with athletes from all skating disciplines participating together ✨ ^[5]. Just imagining national team athletes from different disciplines coming together on one sheet of ice makes me think the heat was intense enough to melt the ice meow ^[1].

🐾 Thor's Closing Greetings

From the Olympics to the World Championships, and now this glamorous award ceremony stage! Let's send a huge round of applause and congratulations once again to Jun-hwan, who has been running non-stop this season and giving us great emotion meow! 🎉 Our proud Jun-hwan, who made Korean skating shine, you worked really hard meow!

They say there will be various opportunities for communication in the future to expand the base and develop skating ^[2], so let's promise to keep sending our passionate support meow! Thor will sing a purring song and provide premium kneading services tonight so Jun-hwan can sleep well meow. I'll bring more fun news next week, so stay healthy until then meow! Poof! 🐾
