Hello, fellow Steam gamers with hundreds of backlogged games in your library! It's your Game Collector 🎮 Is your wallet surviving? This week, the Steam ecosystem has been flooded with massive news that will threaten our bank accounts and keep us up at night! Last week, the community was buzzing with the new Steam Controller shortage and Steam Machine revival rumors, right? This week, we've packed it with exciting hot issues, from the dizzying ups and downs of our favorite masterpieces to the massive overhaul of the 10-year-old Steam Market. Grab a cup of coffee, and let's dive right in! 😎

🚀 The Return of Masterpieces! Mixed Fortunes for 'Slay the Spire 2' and 'Subnautica 2'

There are two god-tier games that heated up the Steam servers from day one! It's 'Slay the Spire 2' and 'Subnautica 2' ^[1]. In particular, 'Slay the Spire 2' proved its overwhelming popularity by hitting around 500,000 peak concurrent users on Steam on its launch day ^[1]. Truly a score worthy of a deck-building roguelike legend, right? But the joy was short-lived, as there's sad news that recent Steam user reviews have plummeted to 'Mostly Negative' 😭. They actively accepted feedback by completely deleting the Act 3 boss 'Doormaker', which was criticized for its unreasonable patterns, and adding a new boss. However, as the patch cycle increased from weekly to bi-weekly, concerns grew about delays in content additions. More importantly, the revelation that a certain critic participated as a development consultant has led to a massive bombardment of protest downvotes from users ^[2]. On the other hand, 'Subnautica 2', which firmly held the #1 spot on Steam's global wishlist, is enjoying a great vibe! It's cruising along with a CBT for pre-registered users for 4 days from May 15 to 18 ^[3]. Pre-orders and downloads have also started on Steam ^[4], so if you're ready to overcome your thalassophobia, let's dive right in! 🌊

🏎️ Steam Leak Disaster?! 'Forza Horizon 6' Leaked Entirely

This is an unprecedented incident that made racing game fans' hearts drop! A massive accident occurred where the entire files of Microsoft's highly anticipated 'Forza Horizon 6' were leaked on Steam 😱 ^[8]. Usually, preload files for pre-order buyers on Steam are uploaded strictly encrypted, right? But over the weekend, these files were uploaded in a raw, 'unencrypted' state. Because of this, a disaster happened where the game files instantly spread across piracy sites. It is said that Microsoft hastily stepped in to control the situation, such as blocking people trying to live stream before the official release ^[8]. It's one of the rarest leak accidents in Steam history, and the community is in total uproar!

🛒 A Complete Makeover After 10 Years! Massive Steam Market Update

Attention friends who often trade skins or trading cards on the Steam Community Market! 📢 This market has broken its stagnation of over 10 years and undergone a massive, unprecedented update ^[9]. Not only is the UI cleaner with a modern vibe, but user convenience, such as the item information page, has been tremendously improved. As the old market system that had been stalled for a long time was completely revamped, it is being praised for making trading much more intuitive and easier ^[10]. Seeing Valve suddenly paying this much attention to the market makes us highly anticipate how they will further expand the pipeline of the economic system within Steam 💸.

📱 Steam Deck Optimization & Massive May Sale News! Open Your Wallets!

Let me drop some good news for Steam Deck users! Nexon Games' 'Blue Archive' will officially support an optimized play environment for the Steam Deck and controllers through an update on May 26 ^[5]. Being able to comfortably meet the students while lying in bed—totally a god-tier patch, right? 👍 And attention indie game fans! The turn-based SRPG 'Stardust: Star and Witch', created by Korean indie developer Knive Studio, will be officially released on Steam on May 29 ^[6]. They mixed 2D pixel art graphics, the flavor of traditional SRPGs, and a card battle system to enhance strategy, so let's put it on our wishlists! Lastly, the most important news! Right now on Steam, a massive PC game sale is running from May 15 to June 12! They are offering crazy discounts of up to 75% on everything from AAA masterpieces to representative indie games ^[7], so let's solidly fill up our libraries! (Close your eyes, my wallet... 💸)

That's all the Steam news I've prepared for today! I hope you all score some great deals with the historic discounts during the sale period, and have fun clearing your backlog over the weekend! I'll return next week with more fun news to make gamers' hearts race. Bye! 🎮✨
